Delegation of Standard & Poor's Visited NBS

Mr. Xu Xianchun, Deputy Commissioner of NBS interviewed the Delegation headed by Mr. David Beers, Managing Director, Sovereign & International Public Finance Ratings, Standard & Poor’s, on April 15.

Mr. Xu xianchun welcomed the Delegation warmly, and introduced basic situation of China’s reform and development of statistics in recent years. During the meeting, both sides discussed on the survey system, national accounts, prices, population, industry, the service sector and the consumer confidence index and other issues which concerned by Standard & Poor's.

The aim of Standard & Poor's sovereign ratings group visited China this time was carry through the annual re-rating of China's sovereign credit levels, and discussed on China's macro-economy, financial and monetary policies, foreign exchange debt management, capital market development, employment and re-employment, and social security issues with the relevant departments.

Messrs. Xian Zude, Director-General, Department of Statistical Design and Management, Ye Zhicai, Deputy Director-General, China Economic Monitoring and Analysis Center, Wang Xiaoqing, Counsel, Department of Urban Survey, Ms. Liu Liping, Deputy Director-General, Department of National Accounts of NBS, also attended the meeting.
