Chief Statistician Met with Japanese Mission

The Chief Statistician of NBS, Mr. Li Qiang met Japanese mission on 12 March 2007 in NBS.  The three-member Japanese mission headed by Mr. SASAKI Kenichi, Deputy Director of Director-General for Policy Planning of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. 

The purpose of the Japanese mission was to learn the organization, coordination and propagation and mobilization of the economic census of China.

During the meeting, Li Qiang pointed out that some factors were of big importance to assure a successful census which as follows, the authority of the leading organizational structure and the coincidence of all-levels of the organization of the census; each concerning government agency took its responsibilities; responsibility integrates with finance; relatively strong computer program; and vigorous propagation and mobilization.

The Director of Division of General Affairs, Census Center introduced the information of organization, coordination and propagation and mobilization of the first economic census of China systematically and answered the questions to Japanese guests.
