Canadian Delegation on the System of National Accounts-SIMP II Economic Statistics Project Visited National Bureau of Statistics

Canadian delegation on System of National Accounts under the SIMP II Economic Statistics Projected paid visit to National Bureau of Statistics of China during the period of September 20 to 26, 2006. The 7-people delegation was headed by Ms. Cynthia Baumgarten. According to the signed schedule of the project, the purpose of this delegation is to discuss issues on quarterly GDP by production approach and expenditure approach, the reconciliation of the quarterly and annual GDP and the future activities.

Deputy commissioner Xu Xianchun met the delegation. Main participants from NBS side are: Mr. Du Weiqun, Acting Director-General of Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Zhang Jun, Deputy Director-General of Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Meng Qingxin, Acting Director-General of Services Survey Center, Mr. Wang Wenying, Deputy Director-General of Services Survey Center, Mrs. Liu Liping, Deputy Director-General of Department of National Accounts.
