On January 28, 2005, China Ecomonic Research Delegation of Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) visited NBS. The delegation would like to understand related issues on the statistics of macro economy, national accounts, investment, employment, price and etc.. The related professionals from Department of Comprehensive Statistics, Department of National Accounts, Department of Investment and Construction Statistics, Department of Population, Social, Science and Technology Statistics, and Urban Survey Organization took part in the meeting, and gave particular answers to the experts of OECD.
Country economic research is one of the important business activities of OECD. The main activities are to research and evaluate a particular country’s macro economic situation and trend; their research reports have a broad influence to the investors of developed countries, and also as an important reference to the researched country’s decision-making on macro economy.
