In late May 2026, according to the monitoring of market prices of 50 kinds of important means of production under 9 categories in the national circulation field, the prices of 13 products increased, 36 kinds decreased, and one kind remained flat compared with those in mid-May 2026.

Market prices of important means of production in circulation refer to the wholesale prices and selling prices of enterprises trading important means of production. Different from producer prices, market prices of means of production include producer prices, as well as circulation expenses, profits, and taxes of the enterprises. Producer prices and market prices influence each other. Due to a time lag, their movements may show divergence in a certain period of time.
2. Monitoring Content
The monitoring of market prices of important means of production in circulation includes the prices of 50 kinds of products under 9 categories. For details of product categories and specifications, please see the attached table.
3. Monitoring Coverage
The monitoring covers nearly 2,000 wholesalers, agents, and dealers of more than 300 trading markets in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities).
4. Monitoring Methods
Price monitoring methods include information officers gathering prices on-site or requesting prices by telephone, instant messaging tools, e-mail, and so on.
5. Statistics on Price Movement Counts
The number of products with price increases, decreases, and no change is counted based on the percentage change (%).
