Bulletin on the Selected Slogans of the Fourth UNWDF

The World Data Forum is an international forum initiated by the United Nations. The Fourth United Nations World Data Forum, organized by the United Nations and co-hosted by the National Bureau of Statistics of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, will be held in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province from 24 to 27 April 2023. In order to engage public participation, the Office of the Preparatory Committee of the NBS for the Fourth United Nations World Data Forum (hereinafter referred to as ‘Office of the Preparatory Committee of the NBS’) announced Call for Slogans on the UN web-page and the NBS website respectively from April to June 2022.

By the end of the Call, more than 700 submissions had been collected, including over 550 national submissions and 160 submissions collected via UN web-page. After several rounds of expert sifting and evaluation from the NBS Office of the Preparatory Committee, a total of six thematic slogans in both Chinese and English were selected, including one main slogan and five auxiliary slogans corresponding to the four thematic areas of the forum, which will be used for forum communication and publicity. The selected slogans are hereby announced as follows:
