The New Kinetic Energy Index of China's Economic Development Increased by 23.4 Percent in 2019
In order to dynamically monitor the changes of the new kinetic energy of China's economic development, the Research Institute of Statistical Sciences of the National Bureau of Statistics, based on the Statistical Monitoring System of New Industries, New Business Formats and New Business Models, and statistical indicator system of new kinetic energy of economic development, using the fixed base index method to calculate the new kinetic energy index of China's economic development in 2019, and to revise the 2015-2018 historical index according to the latest data and caliber. The results showed that the new kinetic energy index of China's economic development in 2015-2019 was 124.8, 159.1, 204.1, 269.0 and 332.0 respectively, increasing by 24.8, 27.5, 28.3, 31.8 and 23.4 percent over the previous year. In 2019, all the sub-indexes have been improved compared with the previous year. Among them, the network economy index has the highest growth rate and the largest contribution to the growth of the total index.
I. Network Economy Index. In 2019, the network economy index was 856.5, an increase of 42.0 percent over the previous year, and its contribution rate to the growth of the total index was 80.5 percent.
II. Innovation Driven Index. In 2019, the innovation driven index was 201.4, an increase of 15.6 percent over the previous year, and the contribution rate to the growth of the total index was 8.6 percent.
III. Economic Vitality Index. In 2019, the economic vitality index was 313.6, an increase of 7.4 percent over the previous year, and the contribution rate to the growth of the total index was 6.9 percent.
IV. Knowledge Capability Index. In 2019, the knowledge capability index was 147.2, an increase of 8.3 percent over the previous year, and its contribution rate to the growth of the total index was 3.6 percent.
V. Transformation and Upgrading Index. In 2019, the transformation and upgrading index was 141.4, an increase of 1.0 percent over the previous year, and its contribution rate to the growth of the total index was 0.4 percent.

II. Calculation Method of New Kinetic Energy Index of Economic Development
The new kinetic energy index of economic development is a composite index constructed by using the basic data of "three new" surveys and the comprehensive evaluation method of linear weighting, which is used to reflect the development trend and process of new economic momentum. In order to better reflect the long-term change trend of new kinetic energy and dynamically monitor the accumulation process of new kinetic energy, the calculation method of new kinetic energy index of economic development is fixed base method, that is, taking 2014 as the base period, the index value represents the change trend of new kinetic energy of economic development in the reporting period compared with 2014. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Standardization of Basic Indicators

2. According to the results of the fourth national economic census, the relevant historical data from 2014 to 2018 are adjusted, and some indicators are recalculated according to the latest caliber. On this basis, the new kinetic energy index of economic development in 2015-2018 is revised.
