The Gross Output Value of Construction Rose in the First Half Year

In the first half year of 2008, all the construction enterprises in China (refers to those construction enterprises having overall or professional contracting qualification, excluding those sub-contractors in labor services, same as follows) achieved construction output value of 2,266.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.4 percent.

The total area of housing construction by these enterprises was 3695 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 20.1 percent.

The total income of all these construction enterprises was 2,074.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.9 percent.

The total profit made by all these construction enterprises was 49.0 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.2 percent.
