Announcement on Verified GDP Data in 2006 and 2007

In the light of the accounting procedures of GDP, National Bureau of Statistics according to the Annual Report and financial accounts, revised final verification of GDP data in 2006, and use of existing statistical data to verify the preliminary verification of GDP data in 2007, which are as follows:

After final verification, GDP in 2006 at current prices amounted to 21.1923 trillion yuan, compared with the preliminary verification of an increase of 105.2 billion yuan, calculated according to constant prices over the previous year, up 11.6 percent, and 0.5 percentage points increased compared with the preliminary verified number (see Table 1).

After preliminary verification, GDP in 2007 at current prices amounted to 24.953 trillion yuan, an increase of 291.1 billion yuan over the preliminary accounting, up 11.9 percent as calculated at constant prices over the previous year, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared with the preliminary accounting (see Table 2).
