Announcement on Emendatory Main Statistical Data and Partial Historical Statistical Data of Year 2005

According to the related regulation of National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), partial preliminary statistics and accounting information in 2005 emended on the basis of Statistical Express Data. In addition, the historical data of the total retail sale of consumer goods from 1993 to 2004, crude coal production, total production of energy, and total consumption of energy from 1999 to 2004 has been emended according to the results of the First National Economy Census of China. These data and the latest batch of new statistical data have been published in the "China Statistical Abstract". For the convenience of users, the emendatory and new publishable main statistical indicators show as follows, the detailed information would be found in "China Statistical Abstract" of 2006.

The new publishable and emendatory data of 2005:

Gross national income: 18319.2 billion yuan

GDP in expenditure method: 18549.6 billion yuan

Passenger transportation: 1746.7 billion persons/km

Freight transportation: 8025.7 billion tons/km

Possession of civilian automobiles: 31.6 million vehicles (excluding motor vehicles and three rounds of low-speed vehicles).

Possession of private automobiles: 18.52 million vehicles (excluding motor vehicles and three rounds of low-speed vehicles).
