Saloon Car Production Kept Increasing in November

According to the statistics of NBS, the total output of saloon cars in November reached 291.9 thousand, a year-on-year growth of 52.1 percent. In the first 11 months of this year, the total output of saloon cars stood at 2,650.6 thousand, a year-on-year change of 24.2 percent.

In November, the output of national saloon cars creates newly high point at the end of the year which approached 300 thousand integer barriers, rewrote the high points of June. In view of different regions, the output of Tianjin’s saloon cars created new history records which approached 37.6 thousand; that of Chongqings’ outputs reached 18.2 thousands to created highest level after the adjustment in few months, and appeared fleetly renew situation; that of Shanghais’ outputs kept declining. In view of different enterprises, the output growth rate of Shanghai Volkswagen, Tianjin Xiali, Shanghai Toyota, Chang’an Suzuki, Chang’an Ford increased 40 percent as compared with last month.

The sales volume continuing overran the capacities simultaneity, which due to the following three reasons: firstly, the new saloon car types such as Toyota Reiz, Chang’an Focus, etc were in full flourish; secondly, the saloon car enterprises concentrated shelved stocks to the franchisers, which distinctness at the end of the months; thirdly, part of mainstream enterprises were reduced the outputs initiatively, and the stocks dropped in evidence; such as the year-on-year changes of Shanghai Volkswagen dropped by 35 percent and 21 percent in October and November respectively, the accumulative newly increased stocks of South and North Volkswagen in November were 7000 only, which decreased 40000 as compared with in June. A passel mainstream saloon car enterprises kept comparatively stable market from the “Limited Edition Sales Promotion Action”, lightened the collectivity stock pressures.

The growth rate of production and sales in second half year increased obviously as compared with that in first half year, benefits of automobile industry walked out the vale gradually. In despite of the industry benefits still dropped about 40 percent from January to November, but basically walked out the vale of first quarter; The profits will have large scale grows in fourth quarter and next first quarter of the automobile industry. But then, as compared with year 2003 and first half year of 2004, this circle still in the low level, a quicker rise of benefits mainly was due to reduced and reversed losses of the loss enterprises. The automobile industry loss surface dropped from 43.6 percent to 38.1 percent, and monthly losses dropped from 43.6 percent to 38.1 percent in these two months as compared with in first three quarters; the large scale of losses has changed obviously since the beginning of the year of the automobile industry.
