Bulletin on the Preliminary Verified GDP Data in the First Half of 2004

According to the Reform on GDP Accounting and Data Release System, preliminary verified GDP data should be released 45 days later of each quarter. NBS revised the primary GDP data of the first half of 2004 recently.The data of transportation, storage, post and telecommunications and other services was adjusted, other industries kept unchanged.

In the first half of 2004, preliminary verified GDP is 5878.8 billion yuan, 9.7 percent increase compared with the same period of the previous year. Compared with preliminary accounting data, GDP increased 1.5 billion yuan., the increase rate is the same ( actually, increase rate of the verified data is 9.69 percent, whereas the increase rate of the preliminary data is 9.66 percent). For the adjustment of value-added of transportation, storage, post and telecommunications and other services, the value-added for the tertiary industry increased 1.5 billion yuan, the increase rate rose by 0.1 percent point.
