In June, the production of raw coal, crude oil, natural gas and electricity in industries above designated size kept growth. Compared with May, the growth rate of raw coal production has accelerated, crude oil has maintained a stable growth, natural gas production has slowed down, and electricity has changed from decline to increase.

I. Raw Coal, Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production and Relevant Information

The growth rate of raw coal production accelerated, and the decline in imports expanded. The coal supply guarantee policy was vigorously promoted. In June, 380 million tons of raw coal were produced, with a year-on-year increase of 15.3 percent. The growth rate was 5.0 percentage points faster than that of the previous month, and the average daily output was 12.64 million tons. The import of coal was 18.98 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 33.1 percent, an increase of 31.0 percentage points over the previous month.

From January to June, the production of raw coal was 2.19 billion tons, an increase of 11.0 percent year on year. Imported coal was 115 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.5 percent.

Crude oil production increased steadily, and imports turned from rising to falling. In June, 17.19 million tons of crude oil were produced, with a year-on-year increase of 3.6 percent. The growth rate was the same as that of the previous month, and the average daily output was 573,000 tons. Imported crude oil was 35.82 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.7 percent, an increase of 11.9 percent last month.

From January to June, 102.88 million tons of crude oil were produced, with a year-on-year increase of 4.0 percent. The imported crude oil was 252.52 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1 percent.

The decline in crude oil processing volume narrowed. In June, 54.94 million tons of crude oil were processed, a year-on-year decrease of 9.7 percent, a decrease of 1.2 percentage points from the previous month, and the average daily processing was 1.831 million tons. From January to June, 332.22 million tons of crude oil were processed, a year-on-year decrease of 6.0 percent.

The growth rate of natural gas production slowed down and the decline in imports expanded. In June, the production of natural gas was 17.3 billion cubic meters, with a year-on-year increase of 0.4 percent, and the growth rate slowed by 4.5 percentage points compared with the previous month, with an average daily output of 580 million cubic meters. Imported natural gas was 8.72 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.6 percent, an increase of 4.0 percentage points over the previous month.

From January to June, 109.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced, with a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent. Imported natural gas was 53.57 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.0 percent.

II. Electric Power Production

Power production has changed from decreasing to increasing. In June, the power generation was 709 billion kwh, an increase of 1.5 percent year-on-year, a decrease of 3.3 percent last month, and the average daily power generation was 23.63 billion kwh. From January to June, the power generation was 3.96 trillion kwh, an increase of 0.7 percent year on year.

In terms of varieties, in June, the decline of thermal power narrowed, the growth rate of hydropower, wind power and solar power generation accelerated or changed from decline to increase, and nuclear power changed from increase to decrease. Among them, thermal power decreased by 6.0 percent year-on-year, 4.9 percentage points narrower than the previous month; hydropower increased by 29.0 percent, 2.3 percentage points faster than last month; nuclear power fell by 9.0 percent, up 1.3 percent last month; wind power increased by 16.7 percent, down 0.7 percent last month; solar power generation increased by 9.9 percent, 1.6 percentage points faster than last month.

Annotations:

1. Explanatory Notes

Average daily product output: It is calculated by dividing the total output of Industrial Enterprises above the designated size announced in that month by the calendar days of that month.

2. Statistical Coverage

The statistical caliber of the output data in the report is above the designated size of industry, and the statistical scope is industrial enterprises with annual main business income of more than 20 million yuan.

Because the scope of Industrial Enterprises above the designated size changes every year, in order to ensure that this year's data is comparable with the previous year's, the same period used to calculate the growth rate of various indicators such as product output is consistent with the statistical scope of enterprises in this period, and there is a caliber difference between the data released last year.

3. Data Source

Import data comes from the General Administration of Customs, of which June data are express data.

4. Conversion relationship of natural gas units: 1 ton is equal to 1380 cubic meters.
