Mr. Ning Jizhe-Led Delegation Visited Japan

From July 23rd to 27th, invited by the Statistics Bureau of Japan (SBJ), Mr. Ning Jizhe, Commissioner of the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), led the 31st Statistical Delegation to Japan. During the visit, Mr. Ning has met with Ms. Seiko Noda, Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, Mr. Hiroshi Shimo, Vice Governor of Wakayama Prefecture, and Mr. Masato Chino, Director-General of SBJ.

 

 

On July 23rd, Mr. Ning Jizhe went to Wakayama Prefecture after arriving in Osaka, and listened to a briefing on the statistical work and economic census made by the Wakayama Prefecture Statistics Division. Later, Mr. Ning visited the Statistical Data Utilization Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Wakayama Prefecture to learn about the management and public accessibility of the micro data. In order to understand the business survey in Japan, on July 24th, Mr. Ning made a field visit to the IKUTA Manufacturing Equipment Cooperation, and studied the company's production and operation. From July 25th to 27th, the delegation exchanged ideas with SBJ and the National Statistics Center on the latest developments in the statistical work of the two countries, the design and implementation of economic census, and other statistical issues of common interest. The two sides expressed the need to further strengthen statistical exchanges and cooperation to provide quality statistical services to the government and the public.

 

 

During the visit, Mr. Ning Jizhe has attended the 32nd regular vice ministerial meeting with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and the 21st  regular vice ministerial meeting with the Cabinet Office of Japan.

 

The delegation was also joined by Mr. Zhang Jun, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Cheng Zilin, Director-General of the Department of Statistical Design and Management, and Mr. Lin Tao, Deputy Director-General of the Census Center.
