Brief Introduction

I. Main Content of Data on Education

Data in this chapter reflect the development of China’s education.

Data on education cover the situations on higher education (graduate education, regular higher education and adult higher education), secondary education (senior and junior secondary education), primary education (primary schools), pre-school education, special education and educational finance. The main indicators include number of schools, number of enrolments, entrants, graduates, number of educational personnel and full-time teachers, total educational finance, government appropriation for education and so on.

II. Sources of Data on Education

The Ministry of Education provides statistical data on educational undertakings and educational finance. Data on skilled workers schools are provided by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
