1983/84.

⑥Student finance-grants and student travel subsidy scheme are administered by the Student Financial

Assistance Agency as from 1990/91.

⑦A means test was introduced to student travel subsidy scheme since 1991/92 to assess the application

of individual school students.

⑧The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong became self-financing starting from 1 April 1993. It was

retitled the Open University of Hong Kong on 30 May 1997.
