In the first half year of 2007, the average wage of on-duty staff and workers in urban areas reached 10,990 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.5 percent. Of the total, the average wages of state-owned units was 11,790 yuan, up by 20.4 percent; that of collective-owned units was 6,552 yuan, rose by 17.7 percent; that of others was 10,581 yuan, an increase of 15.5 percent.
