Evaluation Meeting on Sino-Germany Cooperation Project of International Statistics Held in Beijing
On morning April 18, the visiting Destatis (i.e., Federal Statistical Office
Ms. Yang Jingying, Deputy Director-General of ISIC, presented the summarized evaluation report on behalf of the project group of NBS. She reported the contents, main achievements and general evaluation of the Project as well as her suggestions on the further bilateral cooperation. The project has been conducted smoothly with the supports of Project principal of both sides and the efforts of international statistician and other experts of both sides, she pointed out. The planned tasks were fulfilled, the designed target was reached, and fruitful harvest was achieved. And the Project improved the international statistical work of both sides.
After the report and demonstration of NBS, Ms. Claudia Agnes Brunner, Mr. Wolfgang Michael Schulze and Mr. Günter Karl Moser evaluated the Project. They agreed to the report of their Chinese counterpart. Both sides cooperated very well and the project itself was very remarkable, they said. And the fruits achieved were very impressive, especially in compiling “International Statistics Yearbook”, establishing database and disseminating international statistical data. The project improved the statistical work of
Mr. Du Weiquan gave a fully positive remark on the Project, expressed his thanks for the efforts of both sides and congratulated on the successful cooperation in his conclusive remarks. He hoped the Sino-Germany cooperation could be improved further in a wider field.
