Japanese Famous Economist made speech at NBS

Promised the invitation of China National Condition Research Institute, Mr. Furihata Setsuo, Japanese famous economist, professor of Tekyo University, hierophant of Doctor made a speech on Development and Actuality of Japanese Economy after World War II on March 22 at National Bureau of Statistics.

Mr. Furihata Setsuo briefly reviewed the situation of Japanese economy before the World War II, compared the economic development situation in World War I and II, pointed out that the main reasons of rapid recover of Japanese economy was the war between United States and North Korea, a mass of material requirements drove the development of Japanese economy. From 1945 to 1973, Japan economy kept their fast pace of GDP at 10% annually continued over 18 years. However, Japan economy encountered disaster due to 2 petroleum crisis, economy bubble grew up and perdition finally, which has bring Japan economy stagnancy in long term until nowadays. Mr. Furihata Setsuo gave detailed analysis 4 aspects in human beings (labour forces), wealth (capitals), substances (resources) and technologies on rise and decline of Japan economy after World War II.

After speech, Mr. Furihata Setsuo answered questions from audiences, and communicated relevant topics on development of China economy.

Speech presided by Mr. Li Xiaochao, vice chairman and secretary-general of China National Condition Research Institute. Over 60 staff members of NBS attended the lecture.
