Memorandum of Agreement on the Cooperative Project of Improving Sino-Japanese Intl I-O Table Compilation Techniques Signed in Beijing

The Japanese Delegation of Detailed Plan Making for the Cooperative Project of Improveming Sino-Japanese International Input-Output Table Compilation Techniques, headed by Mr.KOJIMA Gen, Principal Assistant Director, China Office of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), visited NBS to conduct investigation and consultation on Project Agreement on June 2-3, 2009. The Delegation was composed of eight members, which come from the JICA and the METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan). Mr. Xu Xianchun, Deputy Commissioner of NBS, met with the Delegation.





Mr. Du Weiqun, Director-General, Department of International Cooperation of NBS, presided over the meeting. Mr. Qi Shuchang, Deputy Director-General, Department of National Accounts, introduced China's practice on  input-output accounting. Both sides exchanged full views and consultations on the contents of the Project Agreement, and agreed that the establishment of the Project will be contributed to strengthen the cooperation on input-output compilation techniques,  and the completed Sino-Japanese international input-output table from the Project will provide basic data supports for two country’s economic policy making. The Memorandum of Agreement on the Cooperative Project of Improving Sino-Japanese International Input-Output Table Compilation Techniques between the Detailed Plan Making Delegation of JICA and the NBS was signed.

Mr. Peng Zhilong, Director-General, Department of National Accounts of NBS, and related staff from Division of Input-Output of Department of National Accounts, Division of Bilateral Relations of Department of International Cooperation, attended the meeting.
